Then She Found Me just around the corner
I’m literally scrambling to get things done around campus so the only way I can keep up with the buzz of Then She Found Me is to provide an overview here. Remember, Then She Found Me releases in New York and Los Angeles this Friday, April 25. Read the excellent reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.
- The official web site from ThinkFilm was recently unveiled, and includes the trailer, cast info, production info, and reviews and accolades. You can take a peek at http://thenshefoundmefilm.com. The unofficial web site, designed by me, was released over a month ago at http://thenshefoundme.com.
- Then She Found Me had its official premiere last night in New York. Helen Hunt, Matthew Broderick, Bette Midler, Colin Firth, Sarah Jessica Parker were all in attendance. You can find videos at Access Hollywood and The Insider.
- Several insightful and beautiful articles came out last week, including In Step With…Helen Hunt from Parade Magazine, Helen Hunt Calls the Shots from LA Times, Helen Hunt is Keeping Her Options Open from New York Daily News, and The Return of Helen Hunt from BlackBook Magazine.

This is one of my favorite books, so I ran to see it today as soon as it opened. What a wonderful film! The book is updated and improved, just right for the screen. The cast and casting are both superb. Bette is really the person who I would have picked to do the role of Bernice. Even the places where filmed are perfect, off the beaten path. I thank Helen for making a film that I just loved and will see over and over. Keep making them!
I agree, it is a wonderful adaptation. Hunt is in the process of writing her next movie (this time an original idea.)
“Then She Found Me” has the most romantic and real love story that I’ve seen for a very long time. There are some very funny lines that are, unfortunately, telegraphed in the trailer. Two woman’s groups I know went to see this and just ate it up. I believe that women are really hungry for this kind of story. Kudos to Ms. Hunt.
